Strawberry Vanilla Overnight Oats (Print Version)

Creamy oats soaked with vanilla and fresh strawberries, chilled overnight for an easy, nourishing breakfast.

# What You'll Need:

→ Oats Base

01 - 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
02 - 1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
03 - 1/2 cup plain or vanilla Greek yogurt
04 - 2 tablespoons chia seeds
05 - 1 to 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup or honey
06 - 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
07 - Pinch of salt

→ Fruit

08 - 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and diced

→ Toppings (optional)

09 - Sliced almonds, to taste
10 - Additional diced strawberries, to taste
11 - Drizzle of honey or maple syrup, optional

# How to Make It:

01 - In a medium bowl or large jar, combine the oats, milk, Greek yogurt, chia seeds, maple syrup or honey, vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. Stir thoroughly until the mixture is homogeneous.
02 - Gently fold the diced strawberries into the oat mixture until evenly distributed, taking care not to bruise the fruit.
03 - Cover the bowl or secure the jar lid and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight to allow the oats and chia seeds to absorb liquid and thicken.
04 - In the morning, stir the mixture and add a splash of milk if you prefer a looser texture; taste and adjust sweetness if desired.
05 - Divide the oats between two bowls or jars and top with sliced almonds, extra strawberries and an optional drizzle of honey or maple syrup before serving.

# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • Your breakfast will taste like dessert but power you through the whole morning.
  • You can prep the night before and sleep in five extra blissful minutes.
02 -
  • If you rush and don’t let the mixture sit at least six hours, the oats will be chewy and the chia seeds won’t plump.
  • Swapping in low-fat or watery yogurt leaves your oats loose instead of spoonably thick—full-fat is worth it.
03 -
  • Layer the strawberries in the middle of the jar for gorgeous swirls and even flavor.
  • A tiny sprinkle of salt brings out the sweetness in the berries—never skip it.
